More than 36,500 organizations worldwide are certified by the FSSC 22000 Scheme for Food Safety Management Systems, including premium A-brands. The FSSC 24000 Social Sustainability Scheme was published about a year ago. Both schemes contribute to FSSC’s vision to create a better world by helping organizations contribute to the SDGs. FSSC employs about 50+ professionals; half of them work from the Netherlands, and the rest from other locations in the world.
Because of the growth of the FSSC organization, we are recruiting for the vacancy of Integrity Program Assessor for the Americas. The FSSC foundation has a risk-based Integrity Program (IP) to review the performance of all licensed Certification Bodies (CBs). The IP Assessor executes and supports the Integrity Program by conducting CB Office Assessments, Desk Reviews, and occasional Witness Assessments.
Key Results Areas
Integrity Program
- Perform all aspects (planning, assessments, reporting, and follow-up) of the IP under which Office Assessments (remote or on-site), Desk Reviews (remote), and occasional Witness Assessments (on-site) are conducted
- Participate in regular IP meetings to discuss organizational/departmental developments and ensure calibration among the IP Assessor team
- Provide the IP Manager Certification Integrity with valuable recommendations to enable decision-making and share insights to strengthen the IP
Project Support
- Contribute on request to IP project management and training
- Support IP Manager Certification Integrity with developing IP documents with relation to office assessment, desk review and witness assessments
- Involved in the preparation and participation of global or IP team meetings and events
The ideal Integrity Program Assessor Américas
FSSC is specifically looking for a freelancer – an independent Consultant
- Knowledge of regulations and international standards pertaining to food safety auditing, certification, and accreditation
- Degree in food-related or bio-science discipline
- 2 years of working experience in food-related industry taking an active role in quality assurance or food safety functions in production or manufacturing
- Lead Auditor qualification (IRCA or equivalent) for food safety management systems or quality management systems
- 5 years’ international experience in auditing third-party food safety/quality management system auditing
- Sound knowledge of FSSC 22000 Scheme requirements, ISO 22000, ISO 22003-1, ISO/TS 22002 series, ISO 17011 and relevant IAF MD/ IAF ID
- Flexible work attitude in support of delivering objectives
- Ethical behaviour (in line with Annex D of ISO/IEC 17021-1)
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills in English
- Work independently and act as a team member
- Presentation skills and expertise
- Able to travel in the Americas
