In 2024, Foundation FSSC celebrates the exceptional anniversary of 15 years!
Our vision of contributing to ‘Creating a Better World’ started in 2009 with the first steps to making the FSSC 22000 Scheme for Food Safety Management Systems Certification a success.
Over the years, we extended our scope from Food Safety to Social Sustainability, adding the FSSC 24000 Scheme for Social Management Systems Certification in 2022. At the same time, we expanded our scope to embrace organizations in the consumer goods manufacturing and processing sector (food and non-food), including their related service providers. With FSSC 22000 Version 6, we added additional requirements on Food Loss and Waste as an essential contribution towards environmental sustainability.
As a non-profit Foundation, we want to help organizations, through certification, contribute to the SDGs and thus create a better world. From the very beginning, 15 years ago, this has been our ambition. It will continue to be our ambition for 2024 and into the future: together with our partners and together with the industry.
