As of 1 April 2024, Version 6 of the FSSC 22000 Scheme is mandatory for all organizations seeking FSSC 22000 certification.
This updated version integrates the latest requirements of ISO 22003-1:2022 and strengthens support for organizations in contributing to the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Version 6 of the FSSC 22000 certification Scheme was published on 31 March 2023. Organizations have had a 12-month window to prepare for the new requirements and CBs for implementation and gaining accreditation. The first audits to Version 6 will commence from 1 April 2024 onwards, and all FSSC 22000 certified organizations must complete the Version 6 upgrade audit before 31 March 2025.
