Job opening | Digital Innovation Officer

As Digital Innovation (DI) Officer at FSSC, you are responsible for implementing and executing innovative technologies and solutions that align with FSSC’s digital strategy while maximizing the value of the existing technology portfolio.

This role involves working closely with the business to ensure value realization from current SaaS solutions and to identify, evaluate, and deploy new technologies when necessary.

This position as Digital Innovation Officer requires someone who takes initiative, independently identifies opportunities, and proactively explores new ideas through research and pilot projects to support the successful adoption of innovative solutions across the organization.

You will be part of an IT team of around 23 and report to Tiago Porteiro, Global Digital Innovation Manager.

Key Result Areas

  • Identify and evaluate new technologies and trends that align with FSSC’s digital strategy, leading pilot projects and managing the adoption of impactful innovations.
  • Work closely with different teams to align digital solutions with operational needs, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to ensure the effective use of existing SaaS solutions, optimizing processes, and achieving measurable business outcomes.
  • Drive the evaluation and adoption of new features for existing tools, maximizing value delivery while ensuring consistent performance.

The ideal Digital Innovation Officer is a forward-thinking technology professional who excels at working both independently and as part of a team. Strong communication skills enable effective work with cross-functional teams and stakeholders across different cultures.

The role requires strong intercultural awareness and sensitivity, combined with the ability to adapt quickly to new technologies and trends. Attention to detail and strong project management skills are essential for tracking progress and documenting processes.

Your education, knowledge, experience:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, preferably in IT
  • Understanding of digital trends and emerging and innovative technologies.
  • Awareness of change management principles to assist in technology adoption.
  • Experienced contributor to digital innovation or in IT projects.
  • Strong research and analytical skills for evaluating technologies and digital trends.
  • Ability to read, write and speak English at a high proficiency level
